The 'White Dress' EP is a conceptual exploration into the charade of a maiden in a white dress.

Over the 8 tracks that meld into one another the listener is taken on a journey of discovery, unveiling the cracks in the white dress facade.

The EP features lino cut artwork (by our very own violinist Aneshka Mora), gatefold wallet and 12 page booklet with handwritten lyrics and behind the scenes photos of the recording process in a cabin in the Blue Mountains and early Willowy shows.

Willowy's debut EP 'The White Dress' is a conceptual exploration into the charade of a maiden in a white dress, connoting imagery of youth, purity, innocence and naivety upon woman; an unknowable depth more complex than the neat categories imposed by others and society.

Beginning with ‘Ingénue’; a naive young woman, the EP goes on with each song delving into the cracks in the white dress facade. ‘Strength’ is found in acknowledging the intricate dark depths, however disconcerting they may be.

Recorded in the Blue Mountains over four days with Ian Pritchett (Angus & Julia Stone), the sound of the house, environment, fire and the birds inhabits the songs and is prevalent throughout the shifting atmosphere of the EP
